SUPPORT A STUDENT OR PROGRAM
We have multiple ways you can support our students and programs, including “General Giving” which will allow us to use your support
where the need may be greatest, or you can choose to join our “Support a Student” or “Support a Program” initiative, whichever option
is closest to your heart. Regardless of your choice, rest assured you’ll be making a tremendous impact on our youth!
Rest assured any and all donations will go towards our “greatest needs,” which can vary from time to time, but will always ultimately support our students and/or programs, helping to ensure our youth have the resources they need to thrive.
SUPPORT A STUDENT
Samueli Academy receives approximately $12,000 a year per student from the state. It costs approximately $13,500 to fully educate our students at Samueli Academy, leaving a “gap” of $1,500 per student.
A $1,500 donation allows a student to experience:
SMALL CLASS SIZES
21-1 student-to-teacher ratio
ATHLETICS AND AFTER-SCHOOL ACTIVITIES & TUTORING
4 YEARS OF COLLEGE PREPAREDNESS
LAPTOP FOR EVERY STUDENT
WORK-BASED LEARNING SUPPORT
STUDENT SUCCESS COORDINATOR
4 YEARS OF ALUMNI SUPPORT
SUPPORT A PROGRAM
Whatever your passion, your gift will help fund a host of programs, allowing you to support the initiatives closest to your heart.
The after-school environment is crucial to the development of today's youth. Our students enjoy staying late to participate in athletics, clubs, and tutoring.
We support our graduates through the next four years of their lives. A majority of our graduates are first generation college students and our alumni program is a big reason why our college persistence rate is more than twice the national average for this demographic of students!
Four years of career preparedness including exploration tours, career conferences, internships, resume building, interview skills, and more.
Events are important to our school culture and provide our students with a well-rounded experience. Fundraising is crucial as our goal is to provide access to these events at a low cost, or no cost to our students, many of whom would otherwise struggle to afford attending.
FOSTER YOUTH SUPPORT
Ensuring foster youth success is at the heart of Samueli Academy, and Orangewood Foundation’s mission. These students need extra academic and social-emotional support in order to thrive, and additional funding is needed to make this happen.
(Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) Our Project-Based Learning approach with an emphasis on STEAM is designed to revolutionize teaching by incorporating these subjects into all classes with hands-on projects that require critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration.attending.
