My name is Andriana Torres, and I reside in Santa Ana. I graduated from California State University, Fullerton, in 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology. After graduating, I worked with children with special needs for more than five years. Through this experience, I had the privilege of working closely with both children and their parents, which taught me that it truly takes a collaborative team to make a meaningful and lasting difference in a child’s life.
Since 2021, I have been a committed member of the team at Samueli Academy. I initially worked with students who had Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), providing support to help them succeed academically and socially. In my current role as an English Learner Instructional Aide, I support English learners in the classroom and collaborate closely with teachers to strengthen students’ reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills. Ultimately, my goal is to help students build the confidence and language proficiency they need to successfully reclassify as English proficient and thrive academically.
