I grew up in Anaheim, CA, and attended UC Los Angeles where I earned a B.S. in Mathematics. After discovering my love for working with and mentoring high school and college age youth, I decided to become a mathematics teacher. I attended CSU Dominguez Hills where I earned a Single Subject Teaching Credential in Mathematics, followed by a M.A. in Teaching Mathematics with a concentration on High School.
Before joining the teaching staff at Samueli Academy, I began my teaching career in Los Angeles where I had the opportunity to teach different level mathematics courses and work with students of varying academic needs, from those in need of extra math support to those advanced taking AP Calculus. I love mathematics and teaching mathematics!
As an educator, I believe that what I do in the classroom matters to students, and my students matter to me. I dedicate myself to prepare students for college and for the unknown that lies ahead. I work to create and maintain a classroom environment wherein I can motivate my students to learn mathematics and push themselves to do their best. Every year I look forward to working with my students, their families, and the rest of the team here at Samueli Academy to lay a foundation for their future successes.
