My name is Diana Campos, I attended the University of California, Irvine, where I received a B.A. in Chicano Studies and minored in Psychology and Social Behavior. Then, I received a Masters of Education and Teaching Credential from National University. This is my second year teaching at Samueli Academy in Santa Ana. Prior to coming to Samueli, I taught students in Huntington Park (in Los Angeles) for 6 years. Before that, I was a substitute teacher for the Compton Unified School District for 5 years. It was through subbing that I discovered my passion for teaching middle school students science. I am passionate about creating a welcoming learning environment where all students are comfortable making mistakes. As a middle school student, I never had the opportunity to carry out hands-on investigations in science class; therefore, I am committed to creating hands-on learning opportunities for students in my classroom.
