Hello everyone! My name is Mr. Garett Cecil, and I am a World Humanities and AP U.S. History facilitator. Additionally, I am the Varsity Head Coach for the Girls Basketball team. I received my college education at CSULB. History and literature are not just subjects of interest; for me, they are also a passion. Because of this, I am so excited to share my academic interests with our students in both English and History classes.

In addition to teaching, I am excited to continue my role as the head coach for the Girls Basketball team! I have both played and coached basketball my whole life, and it is, easily, my favorite sport! Room G-102 will not only act as an English and History classroom, but also as the Girls Basketball hub! In addition to playing and coaching basketball, my other hobbies include reading fantasy (I’m a huge fan of Tolkien, Jordan, and Sanderson), playing guitar, building Lego, spending time with my family and friends, playing video games, and eating good food!

I very much look forward to the upcoming school year!
