I was born and raised in Santa Ana. After graduating from Santa Ana High School, I went to Santa Ana College and then transferred to California State University Fullerton, where I earned my BA in mathematics.
During my years in college I worked as a math tutor at a non-profit organization called The Wooden Floor. The Wooden Floor’s mission is to empower low-income youth from diverse backgrounds to straighten self-esteem, self-discipline, and a sense of accomplishment through dance, academic, and family programs.
I knew the passion and love I have for mathematics and the city I live in, that I would want to become a math teacher and give back to my community. I look forward to changing students’ mindsets about math and making them better individuals when they leave my classroom.
