Norah Sarsour is the original creator of the Alumni Success Program and has been directing it since 2017, aiding the first inaugural class and onward. The program is unique across the context of the United States and has become an example to others for sustainable and successful college retention strategies and young adult development support. The work this program has yielded has been featured in academic journals and media, especially as the retention and graduation rate of Samueli Academy alumni nearly doubles the national average. Norah firmly believes in a community based, student centered approach to student affairs. She is currently a doctoral student at the University of Redlands School of Education, with a focus on higher education and specifically the experiences of first-generation students.
