Campaign to Build Samueli Academy

The first phase of the Samueli Academy campus is made possible by a $25 million capital campaign led by Orangewood Foundation. Many individuals, corporations and foundations have rallied together to support the high school and eventual residential program for youth from the foster care system, educationally under served communities and the community at large.

Most campaign gifts are pledged over a three to five year period and naming opportunities are available for all gifts or pledges above $50,000.

Samueli Academy Capital Campaign is being spearheaded by Capital Campaign Director, Pam Shambra, who brings more than 26 years of campaign fundraising experience to the project. For more information about The Campaign to Build Samueli Academy, call or email Pam at 714-619-0211 or Click Here to read more about Pam.

"My wife, Sonya, and I made our gift to help seed this program because we know that it's about changing lives of individuals and their children, and leaving a legacy that impacts generations to come."

"Many foster youth don't do well in high school. They move from home to home and school to school, some as many as 10 to 15 times. As a result, there is no consistency and no ability to focus on studies. It's not widely known but nearly 50% of foster teens in Orange County drop out of high school."
